Food Drive Participants a Success!

On Saturday, May 9, 2009, the 17th National Association of Letter Carriers helped again Stamp Out Hunger! across America, but they did not do it alone. The Stamp Out Hunger campaign on May 9 resulted in a donation of 12,308 pounds of food to the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent, about 2,000 pounds more than in 2008. ...

Supporting the drive again this year are Campbell Soup Company, the U.S. Postal Service, Feeding America (formerly America's Second Harvest - the Nation's Food Bank Network), Valpak, the AFL-CIO and United Way of America.

...to everyone who participated
       Thank You!

harm to a recipient.

Tax benefits

are also available to business that donate food. Current tax laws allow generous deductions for contributions of ordinary
income property to charitable organizations.
